The Compassionate Friends

"Welcome to our Group"

"Welcome to the Compassionate Friends" is not what you want to hear. If only there wasn't a need. How hard it is to come to those first few meetings. But we hope there is some comfort in just being with other people for a little while who can understand the indescribable feeling when you lose a child. We know our words cannot take these feelings away. But in sharing our experience, we can and do help each other move toward some level of our own ways and our own timetables.

And to those parents who are visiting our website for the very first time, you have our sincere condolences on the loss of your child. Our hearts go out to you.

All bereaved parents and grandparents are welcome...regardless of the age of your child...and regardless of how long ago your child died. There is love and support in listening and sharing as you feel able.
